Abstract: This paper explains the formulation basis, principles, terms and key contents of Guide to Safety Facilities Design of Construction Project for Onshore Oil and Gas Transmission Pipeline (AQ/T 3055-2019) (hereinafter referred to as Guide). This paper expounds the key terms, the mutual connection and response of safety facilities design in each stage of design, and the safety facilities design of each system. After the release of the Guide, personnel of emergency management departments and design companies all considered that the Guide highlighted the legality, compliance, operability, advancement and adaptability of safety facilities design, which is of great significance for improving the design of the intrinsic safety of oil and gas pipelines.
