Shang Wei
2024, 40 (4):  11-13.
Abstract ( 10 )
In chemical industry, especially in large-scale refining and chemical enterprises, due to the production demand, it is inevitable to carry out some local overhaul, maintenance, installation and cleaning and so forth. If the valve or switch is opened carelessly, it will cause the failure of energy isolation which will lead to flammable and explosive, toxic and harmful media, electrical energy, mechanical energy and other energy accidental release, thus causing safety accidents. The implementation of management measures such as energy isolation, locking and tagging will enable effective isolation of equipment under maintenance or operation, preventing accidents and eliminating personnel injuries from the root. This is beneficial exploration and practice for chemical enterprises to prevent the injury to maintenance workers during production process, to promote the visual management of production site and to realize the intrinsic safety of chemical maintenance.

On Influence of Prestress Loss on Safety Performance of Chemical Containment Vessel
Shi Ming
2024, 40 (4):  30-33.
Abstract ( 7 )
In view of the fact that the influence of pressure loss on the safety of chemical containment vessel under internal pressure environment cannot be ignored, this project intends to study the safety of chemical containment structures from the perspective of structural mechanics under the pressures of 4 and 6 years of the design reference cycle. ABAQUS numerical simulation technology is adopted to simulate the three-dimensional fine numerical simulation of large vessels, and the mechanical behavior of lining yield, prestressed steel yield and concrete crack propagation are simulated. After considering the prestress, the internal pressure load that the container can bear is reduced in the case of crack and liner failure. Under the critical pressure, the deformation of the vessel shows the external expansion of the vault and the internal expansion of the vault.

Yuan Liang, Han Huiliang, Luo Chengfu, Luo Lei, Wang Yan, Dang Xiaofeng
2024, 40 (4):  34-38.
Abstract ( 8 )
Gas leakage accidents are accompanied by a number of risk threats such as explosion and poisoning which brings about economic losses and casualty losses. In this paper, Ansys/Bow-Tie are adopted to establish diffusion model and analytical calculation model to analyze gas leakage qualitatively and quantitatively. The study indicates that in the qualitative variation, the gas diffusion rate increases exponentially in large modular in the leakage area and the diffusion rate is extremely fast. In the quantitative variation, the main risk of gas leakage comes from insufficient inspection and lack of timely overhaul with the highest probability of 0.039 and 0.046 respectively. It can be helpful for risk control to install toxic and hazardous gas instrumentation alarm monitoring group and strengthen the monitoring of large risk issues.

Analysis of Typical Oilfield Scale Types and Control Techniques
Zhao Mengtin
2024, 40 (4):  50-53.
Abstract ( 6 )
The formation of inorganic salt scale is one of the most serious problems facing the water injection and oil recovery stage in China's oilfields. The water quality of the oilfield is complex and the formation water contains high concentration of calcium, magnesium and other metal ions with strong scaling tendency. During the process from the wellbore to the ground transportation system, with the change of geological, physical and chemical factors, scaling is possible wherever there is oil, gas, water and mud flowing through. These scales may block the reservoir pore space and oil pipeline, reduce the efficiency of heat exchanger, affect the oil production seriously and increase the cost of extraction, transportation and treatment. Based on the latest domestic and international oilfield scale research data, this paper summarizes the properties, generating conditions, and influencing factors of typical oilfield scale types. It also summarizes the mainstream scale inhibition mechanisms and provides a summary of the scale prevention and removal methods that have been applied successfully at home and abroad.

Reduce VOCs Emissions During Pre-Cooling of Large Low-Temperature Ethylene Storage Tanks
Li Cuifang
2024, 40 (4):  59-62.
Abstract ( 9 )
In view of the harsh process conditions of ethylene spherical tank that needs to be pre-cooled to below -30℃ before receiving materials and the safety and environmental protection risks of the pre-cooling operation, on the basis of theoretical analysis and feasibility, it is proposed to change the pre-cooling method from "bottom tube inlet" to "top spraying droplets" in view of the harsh process conditions of ethylene spherical tank that need to be pre-cooled to below -30°C before receiving materials and putting them into use. It has been proved in practice that the pre-cooling method of spraying droplets on the top shortens the pre-cooling time of the spherical tank from 56 hours to 12 hours, reduces the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as ethylene to the flare by about 30 tons, and achieves the purpose of carbon emission reduction and cleaner production. At the same time, it also eliminates the safety and environmental protection risks caused by the brittle leakage of spherical tank material caused by the large temperature difference between the top and bottom of the tank.

Self-Monitoring Technology of Pollutant Discharge in Petrochemical Production Process
Mu Dianwei
2024, 40 (4):  63-66.
Abstract ( 9 )
In the process of monitoring the pollutant discharge in the petrochemical production process, the accuracy of the monitoring results is low due to the large number of pollutants to be monitored. Therefore, the self-monitoring technology of pollutant discharge in the petrochemical production process is proposed. An intelligent data acquisition device including HT6501 central controller and ATT7022E metering chip is designed to calculate the difference of the status parameters of petrochemical production equipment in the adjacent time window to obtain the corresponding production status. Then the product output is calculated by combining the relationship between the output of petrochemical products and energy consumption. And the final emissions of different products are calculated by using the output of products and pollutants and the enterprise's capacity to treat pollutants. In the test results, the error between the monitoring results of the design method for the emission of air pollutants and water pollutants and the actual value is stable within 0.3mg/h.
