Abstract: In China, long-distance oil and gas pipelines have the characteristics of long mileage, wide distribution range and complex environment along the route. Improving the level of pipeline safety management is of great significance for reducing pipeline safety accidents, lowering pipeline safety risks and ensuring the smooth and safe operation of pipelines. Through studying the risk factors affecting the pipeline safety, this paper analyzes the present domestic situation of safety management of long-distance oil and gas pipelines. Learning from excellent management methods at home and abroad, a set of sound pipeline safety monitoring and management model is proposed to provide reference for safety management of domestic long-distance oil and gas pipelines.
