Abstract: Since the national petrochemical industry focuses on the development of coastal regions and they’re developing rapidly, the problem of increase of environmental risks adjacent waters correspondingly follows as well. Once an environmental accident occurs, there will be serious consequences and enormous impacts. Therefore, the problem should be considered seriously and measures should be taken to resolve it properly. Taking a coastal petrochemical enterprise in Dalian as an example and combining with its characteristics of petrochemical coastal engineering, this paper expounds and analyzes the supporting wharfs and coastal storage and transportation tanks from such aspects as environmental risk identification, major hazard source identification, accident risk type and hazards. And then it puts forward pointed scientific and reasonable preventive measures and countermeasures so as to provide reference for the same type of coastal petrochemical enterprises to improve environmental risk prevention and control capabilities, and provide technical support for environmental protection and maritime management departments to make related management decisions.
