Abstract: The “smart construction site” has been promoted and applied in the field of construction engineering, and the related technology has become quite mature and standardized. However, petroleum and petrochemical sites involve complex processes, so the promotion of “smart construction site” is relatively slow. As a petroleum and petrochemical project involving complex processes, intelligent technologies covering such technological measures as BIM technology application, intelligent video monitoring, safety monitoring of construction operations, environmental protection and control of internet of things and labor function management and innovative management were researched and explored in Dongying Crude Oil Depot Relocation Project of Shengli Oilfield so as to create a “safe, green, intelligent, efficient and humane” site. The achievements of the project by far include the standardization of the site, the regularization of the scene, the proceduralization of the management process, informationization of internal management and the technicalization of the monitoring means. The experience of this relocation project can be promoted and replicated in the petroleum and petrochemical construction sites. And this relocation project is of demonstrative significance and can play a leading role in the construction of standardized smart construction sites with good application prospects.
