Abstract: As higher standards for the safety and environmental protection of chemical enterprises has been put forward, Dushanzi Petrochemical Company, as a large-scale petrochemical base, has been consolidating the requirements of environmental protection and odor management and implementing the green and low-carbon management concepts in its production practice. According to the actual production operation, startup and shutdown, the environmental protection work will be implemented and connected to each production link so as to reduce the source of three wastes (waste gas, wastewater and solid waste) fundamentally. This paper analyzes the optimization measures taken to solve the environmental problems of the butadiene plant in actual production. And the application of various emission reduction and carbon reduction measures in the daily management and startup and shutdown processes has ensured the synergy among the plant's production, startup and shutdown operation, and environmental protection.
