Abstract: The process of“ centrifugal dehydration + turbine thin layer drying + rotary kiln + secondary combustion chamber + waste heat recovery + tail gas treatment” is adopted by certain petrochemical company to treat the oil sludge in refinery. This paper introduces the process flow, design and operation of sludge drying and incineration device. It analyzes the problems in operation. These provide reference for the design and operation of similar devices. Compared with the direct outsourcing of oily sludge by old refineries, the disposal cost of hazardous waste decreased by more than 70% after drying and incineration. Drying and incineration technology realizes the reduction, stabilization and harmlessness of oily sludge. Meanwhile, it has the characteristics of safety and stability, good treatment effect and low operation cost. It will be widely used in new refineries and revamp of old refineries in the future.
