Abstract: Currently, long-distance pipeline is used to transport oil products. Compared with other ways of transportation, it causes less pollution to the environment. But some kinds and quantities of hazardous wastes will still be generated during the transportation process. If this is not handled well, it will have bad impacts on the environment around the pipeline. However, there are some problems such as low construction standard and low anti-seepage level in the existing hazardous waste storage room for long-distance crude oil pipeline. In this paper, the design contents of ventilation, drainage, anti-seepage and anti-explosion for temporary storage room for hazardous waste are discussed by analyzing the hazardous waste and its hazardous characteristics that may be produced in the long-distance crude oil pipeline, the existing problems in hazardous waste storage are improved; and the impacts of hazardous waste storage on the environment are prevented or reduced.
