Abstract: MAJOR FIRE HAZARDS OF OIL TANK FARMS AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES [1] Han Jun. （ SINOPEC Engineering Incorporation, Bei- ring, 100101 ） Through case analysis on fire accidents of oil tank farms, this article points out that two types of major fire accidents need to be prevented in oil tank farms：oil tank explosion accident and large-area spill fire accident. Elimination of explosive gas inside oil tanks is required for preventing oil tank explosion and fire accidents;and four layers of oil-interception sys- tems need to be constructed to prevent large-area spill fire accidents.
