Abstract: In the engineering design of polyethylene production units, polyethylene dust presents a significant explosion hazard. Dust explosions not only cause substantial economic losses to manufacturing enterprises, but may also result in personnel casualties, posing severe threats to enterprise production safety. This paper examines the influencing factors of dust explosions based on the mechanism and characteristics of polyethylene dust explosions. It conducts a detailed analysis of dust explosion hazards in polyethylene production units by integrating process flow and material properties. From an engineering design perspective, the paper expounds a series of ?explosion prevention measures? and ?critical design principles?, thereby providing feasible recommendations to enhance the ?safe production? and operation of polyethylene production units.
