Abstract: Based on a poisoning accident case during the maintenance of desulfurization tanks in a petrochemical enterprise, this paper addresses the problems existing in the risk control of confined space operations such as incomplete documentation, detection oversights and inadequate emergency response. It constructs a daily safety management model integrating standardized documentation establishment, on-site visual identification and dynamic monitoring. This model has significantly enhanced the pertinence and reliability of pre-operation gas detection, safety measure configuration and emergency preparedness by improving spatial information registration, strengthening risk warnings and implementing closed-loop management, which effectively promotes the extension of risk control to pre-emptive prevention. This research can provide systematic references for the safety management of confined spaces in high-risk industries such as petrochemicals.
