Abstract: Waste gas treatment during shutdown maintenance has always been a key and difficult task for chemical enterprises. Without corresponding treatment technologies, waste gas from steam purging in most chemical enterprises is directly discharged from high elevation. The waste gas not only degrades ambient air quality, but also causes atmospheric pollution and affects the occupational health of enterprise employees. By studying waste gas treatment technologies, waste gas from steam purging during shutdown maintenance is collected in a centralized manner, and an efficient treatment process of absorption, separation, condensation, oil and gas capture, and two-stage adsorption is adopted. Following testing, the concentration of volatile organic compounds in the treated waste gas is significantly reduced, which promotes the emission of waste gas to meet the standard, thereby accomplishing enclosed purging of the device, reducing the emission of VOCS and odors in the waste gas and achieving the effect of waste gas treatment. This help to create a good working environment and enhance environmental pollution control capabilities.
