Abstract: The production processes of many products in industries such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides generate a large amount of high concentration organic wastewater. Due to the high concentration of organic pollutants in this type of wastewater, it is difficult to treat it directly by biological methods. In order to treat it effectively, advanced oxidation technologies continue to develop, mainly including Fenton catalytic oxidation, photocatalytic oxidation, electrocatalytic oxidation, wet catalytic oxidation, supercritical water oxidation, etc., which have achieved good results in the treatment of high concentration organic wastewater with different properties. This paper introduces the principles, characteristics, research progress, and application of various advanced oxidation technologies, and proposes the development and application prospects of advanced oxidation technologies.

Key words: high concentration organic wastewater, treatment, advanced oxidation
