Abstract:  The oil and gas processing system on offshore platform has realized standardized design. Although the standardized design of offshore platform can shorten the development cycle and reduce the investment cost, it will not reduce the potential risks of the new platform, and may even increase some risks because of the shortened construction period. In this paper, HAZOP analysis was carried out for the standard process of oil and gas treatment on offshore platforms to identify the causes and consequences of detailed deviations. And protective measures were suggested to minimize risks. The analysis results are universal, which can provide effective reference for hazard identification and prevention of process systems. This paper proposed protective measures based on the causes and consequences of hazards, which can effectively reduce the frequency of occurrence or mitigate the consequences of accidents, thus achieving the goal of preventing risks and guaranteeing the safe operation of the equipment
