Abstract:  The excessive vibration of plunger pumps and related pipe networks is one of the problems that plague the safety of oilfield water injection pumping stations. Excessive pipe vibration often causes fatigue failure of the pipe, which can lead to safety incidents such as fluid leakage. In this paper, a special damper based on particle damping was studied, and a damping analysis model for particle damping technology was established based on the finite element and discrete element coupling analysis algorithm. Then, the finite element method was used to analyze the vibration reduction effect of the equipment before and after the particle damping was added. Combined with the field test data and the space installation location, a reasonable damping and vibration reduction plan was designed, and the on-site installation and debugging of the damper was completed. It was found through research and development that after the particle damping was added, the vibration intensity of the equipment and the outlet pipeline were reduced by more than 57.5% and more than 45% respectively. The safe operation of the equipment has been ensured.
