Abstract: RESEARCH STATUS AND PROSPECTS OF RAT- ING METHOD FOR CHEMICAL PROCESS HAZARDS This paper analyzes the research status of rat- ing method for material hazards and chemical process hazards. It introduces the main characteristics of different rating methods for material hazards including GHS, NF- PA, OSHA-HCS and HMIS. The paper also presents the main features of different rating methods for chemical hazards covering Sixteenth method, Dow＇ s index of fire and explosion hazard, Mond process, unit risk quick sort method and protective layer method. It also analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of several different rating methods for material hazards and chemi- cal process hazards and discusses their scope of applica- tion. Based on the analysis of different rating methods, the paper presents research ideas for chemical process hazard rating exclusively.
