Practical Application of Water Flushing for Unclogging Choke Points in Downcomers of Propyne Distillation Towers

摘要: 中石油某石化公司由“四年一修”向“五年一修”迈进,丁二烯抽提装置属于易聚合单元(丙炔精馏塔20-C-401因介质含水,是系统的突出点位),随着运行末期的到来,塔器系统中的丁二烯聚合物会逐步积累堵塞塔盘而造成生产波动甚至导致装置被迫停工。独石化在大检修前期通过与行业专家和设计专家的沟通,确认了使用水冲洗解决丙炔精馏塔的堵塞瓶颈,恢复了上、下游装置的物料平衡,取得了预期的处置效果。

Abstract: PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company is progressing from a four-year overhaul cycle to a five-year overhaul cycle. The butadiene extraction unit is a polymerization-prone section (with the propyne distillation tower 20-C-401 being a critical risk point in the system due to moisture presence in the medium). As the late operational phase approaches, the accumulation of butadiene polymers within the tower system progressively clogs the trays, resulting in production fluctuations and even forcing the unit to shut down. Dushanzi Petrochemical Company successfully addressed the bottleneck of propyne distillation tower clogging during the pre-overhaul phase by implementing water flushing, as confirmed through consultations with industry and design experts. This approach has balanced material flows between upstream and downstream units and achieved the expected outcome.
