Abstract: Based on the relationship among human, machine and material in the production process of petrochemical industry, this paper elaborates several key factors causing accidents in the production process, and focuses on the relationship between human unsafe behaviors, psychological factors and accidents caused by unsafe state of things. From the statistical analysis on the causes of various accidents, human factors or causes are the main causes of accidents, accounting for more than 90% of the causes. Therefore, the basic factors for safety management of chemical enterprises are to solve the human unsafe behaviors fundamentally and have technical training and personnel management in place.
