Abstract: In oil refining chemical plant, involving the sulfur crude oil, oil of sulfur process pipeline, process equipment, there are different levels of sulfur corrosion, with the increase of refining high sulfur crude oil processing capacity, the extension of production cycle, the sulfur of equipment corrosion intensifies, the generated sulfide product, once the device breakdown maintenance or opening inspection, tower, containers, process pipeline of iron sulfide unavoidably cause fire or explosion. In this paper, the hazard identification of the production of iron sulfide, the causes of fire or explosion is carried out, and the typical accidents due to the presence of iron sulfide in the shutdown and maintenance of sulfur recovery devices are briefly described.
