Abstract: Carrying out the construction of work safety standardization is a powerful measure to improve the overall level of safety in production in China, ensure the safety of the people’s lives and property and maintain social harmony and stability. In order to push forward the popularization and application of work safety standardization in chemical enterprises with high risks, this paper analyzes the existing problems and shortcomings in the construction of the present work safety standardization of chemical enterprises. On the basis of the analysis, it puts forward the optimization countermeasures from six aspects covering changing ideological understanding, strengthening policy guidance, increasing the penalties, perfecting the system standardization, improving evaluation method and realizing information application. These countermeasures are taken with a view to promoting the sustainable and stable development of chemical enterprises.
